Artist information

Name: Zani
Genres: -
Year of Birth:

Nationality:
London

Artist statement:

The versatile qualities of materials such as glue, sand, asphalt, twine, leather, grass and hemp have all become distinguishing marks of Zani’s work. She encompasses the true essence of traditional symbols to form unique creations in acrylic and mixed media.

Relying heavily upon her intuition and spontaneity, Zani expresses such traditions in a simplified way. Speaking on her influences, the artist says, “I am inspired by everyday life: my children, my family. Painting is my profession and passion. It is part of me and I cannot do without it. Everything else is a phase or period in time”.
